Appliance Repair Warranty

Last updated: June 2026

Every repair completed by Durham Pro Appliance Repair is covered by a 90-day parts and labour warranty, starting on the date the repair is finished. If something related to the repair fails within 90 days, call us and we will come back to address it at no additional charge.

1. What the warranty covers

The warranty applies to the specific repair our technician performed on your appliance and to any parts we installed during that repair. Within the 90-day window, if the same component fails again, or if the repair we made causes a related issue, the return visit, the labour, and any necessary replacement parts are covered at no charge to you.

2. How to make a warranty claim

If your appliance develops an issue you believe is related to a repair we performed within the last 90 days, call us at (289) 906-9362 as soon as you notice the problem. Describe what's happening and have your original invoice handy — it confirms the repair date and the work we performed. We will schedule a return visit, usually within one to two business days.

If the technician confirms the issue is covered under warranty, the entire return visit is free of charge — no diagnostic fee, no labour, no parts cost. If the issue turns out to be unrelated to the original repair, our technician will explain what they found and quote any new work separately before doing anything.

3. What the warranty does not cover

The warranty is limited in scope and does not apply in the following situations:

  • Parts of the appliance other than those replaced or repaired by Durham Pro during the original visit.
  • Any issue that arises after the 90-day warranty period has expired.
  • Clogs of any kind — drain clogs, hose blockages, lint or debris buildups, filter blockages, ice-maker line clogs, dishwasher spray-arm blockages, and similar.
  • Damage caused by misuse, improper operation, overloading, or any direct or indirect action by the user that contributed to the failure.
  • Damage caused by foreign objects entering pumps, motors, or any other mechanical parts of the appliance — for example, coins or hardware in washer drums, debris in dishwasher pumps, hairpins in dryer lint paths.
  • Damage caused by power surges, electrical faults outside the appliance, water-supply issues, improper installation by third parties, or normal wear and tear of components we did not replace.
  • Repairs to the same component performed by another company, or attempted repairs by the customer, after our original visit — any third-party or self-service work on the repaired part voids the warranty on that part.

4. Our repair approach

To keep the cost of a repair as low as possible, our policy is to fix appliances without replacing parts whenever it's safe and reliable to do so. If a component can be cleaned, adjusted, reseated, rewired, or otherwise restored without a new part, we will do that — it's cheaper for you and avoids unnecessary waste.

As a result, the warranty does not apply if the same problem returns and the new fix requires purchasing a replacement part that was not originally installed. In that case, the follow-up visit is treated as a separate repair, with its own quote and its own 90-day warranty on the new part and labour.

5. Important notes

  • The warranty applies only to repairs that have been completed in full and paid for. Cancelled jobs, declined estimates, and unpaid invoices are not eligible.
  • The warranty is non-transferable — it covers the original customer at the address where the repair was performed. If the appliance is moved or the property changes hands, the warranty does not transfer with it.
  • Keep your invoice. It serves as proof of the repair date, the work performed, and the start of your 90-day warranty period.
  • Tampering with the repaired component, attempting your own repair on it, or having a third party work on it after our visit will void the warranty on that specific repair.
  • The warranty applies in addition to — and does not replace — any manufacturer warranty still in effect on the appliance or on parts we install.

6. Questions or warranty visits

If you're not sure whether an issue is covered, the simplest thing to do is call. We would rather talk it through and book a visit than have you guess. Warranty visits are booked through the same phone number as regular service appointments — just mention that you're calling about a recent repair, and our team will pull up your invoice.
